Instructions for Removing Ear Wax

You may wish to use the following over-the-counter products such as Debrox, Cerumenx, Murine Ear Drops or hydrogen peroxide.

1. Wash hands thoroughly before using ear drops.
2. Tilt head to one side, pour one dropper full of peroxide into ear, while lying on opposite side for at least 3 to 5 minutes.
3. Insert cotton ball into ear. Remove cotton ball after 5 minutes.*
4. Repeat process on opposite ear.
5. Follow up with medical intervention as needed.

*When you remove the cotton ball you might notice brown or yellow discharge. This is the excess wax that has been removed from the ear canal.

WARNING: If you have a perforation (hole) in your eardrum, do not perform this ear cleaning procedure. Consult your physician.
